Random Bangkok Observations

How I've missed the messy exuberance of graffiti and street art!

Bangkok's Chinatown has the old world charms of Chinatowns in Malaysia, but with the frenetic dynamism of Hong Kong.

The massive volume of vehicles on the roads means that air quality outside is very often poor, and the weather can be oppressive. This is when you escape to the mall for a welcome respite from the heat and pollution, and I have to admit Bangkok does do malls very well. They are slick, spacious, striking, and stuffed to the gills with good eating options. You could just spend your entire life in a mall here, and I suspect many do.

But if you did ditch the streets for the ease of Bangkok malls, you would miss out on the charming shop cats.

And the occasional street oddity that makes you wonder...

A potted plant on a stool has been placed in the middle of a sidewalk, somewhat blocking the way.
